Is your library, school or bookstore putting on an event for Banned Books Week this year? If so, we want to hear about it! Just fill out this simple form and let us know what you are organizing. All events will be listed in the event section of our website.

This year’s Banned Books Week, which is taking place from Sept. 21-27, will shine a light on comics and graphic novels. Event organizers are welcome to make use of the comics and graphic novels theme or create one of their own.

“We want to publicize the many events being organized around the country during Banned Books Week,” said Judy Platt, chair of the Banned Books Week Executive Committee, "to show the collective voice that is speaking out against censorship.”

Banned Books Week celebrates the Freedom to Read by encouraging readouts, displays, and community activities designed to raise awareness of the ongoing threats of censorship that continue to occur.
